How Is Erdinger Non Alcoholic Lemon Brewed?

erdinger alkohol frei lemon ingredients list

Erdinger Non-Alcoholic Lemon beer is crafted from premium wheat malt and barley; infused with the tangy citrus notes of lemons.

Erdinger use their own in-house unique technique for brewing non-alcoholic beer that allows them to get all the amazing flavours and aromas without making it too strong. Essentially they use teh arrested fermentation method, where they stop the fermentation process when the alcohol content reaches 0.4%.

On first smell, this beer has a light scent with hints of sweet citrus and herbs; shortly after comes a very mild hoppy profile.

It has characteristically pleasant lager aromas followed by underlying notes of lemon zest for depth and complexity in flavor.

Erdinger Alcohol-Free Lemon Beer boasts a vibrant, lemon-yellow hue, creating an eye-catching appearance in the glass. The hazy glow of the beer is accented by a generous head of fluffy white foam, inviting you to take a sip of its crisp, refreshing taste. Effervescence bubbles rise to the surface, adding to the beer’s lively appearance.

Even though the description suggests “the additional of natural zesty lemon” you would generally expect this to be a tart beer with a slight bitterness.

It’s not labelled as a sour so it was never going to be overly tart, but I was surprised by how subtle the lemon flavor is.

The first taste, it’s incredibly light, almost like a lemon ice tea boosted by subtle carbonation.

Very light hint of honey also.

The light lemony aftertaste leaves a strikingly crisp finish that lingers pleasantly but not intrusive.

Overall, the flavor is incredibly light, a small hint of wheat behind the crisp lemon. It’s refreshing

Its impeccably smooth body leads into a mild carbonation which clears away quickly yet still provides enough effervescence without leaving behind any acerbity or condensed tannins from traditional hops used during fermentation – allowing the lemon flavors to come through vividly while maintaining an easy drinking feel making it perfect choice if seeking something crisp, refreshing summery flavor profile.

Overall Impression

All in all, Erdinger Non Alcoholic Lemon is an excellent choice for non-alcoholic beer drinkers. With its refreshing aroma, pleasing appearance and balanced flavor profile, it’s sure to be a hit with anyone looking for a tasty alternative that contains no alcohol. So if you’re looking to quench your thirst without compromising on quality or flavour then look no further than Erdinger Non Alcoholic Lemon!
